The lively peace of the countryside

Villa Corsini has two Italianate gardens. The main one to the south, the bigger one, is surrounded by tall walls. The design is based on rectangles that mirror themselves in couples. Elegant lemon trees grow on the historical “cotto” vases, and a round fountain is on the middle of the garden.

 

A second garden, smaller, is located in front of the gallery, with a simpler design.

The English lawn grows before the north façade of the villa, upheld by the surrounding walls, protected by some horse-chestnuts, and reaches the smaller Italianate garden.

 

The entry alley is sided by the “English grove”, a romantic garden designed in the XIX century.

Villa Corsini reigns over the typical countryside of the Florentine hills, unharmed, with vineyards,  olive trees plantations, and cypresses.
